The Real News

As part of my work as a scholar and analyst, I write a column for Fourth World Eye, an online daily journal of the Center for World Indigenous Studies.

As the premier indigenous think tank and archival repository serving the Fourth World for the past thirty years, CWIS is at the forefront of the global struggle for indigenous human rights.

In the aftermath of the 2007 UN Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples, knowledge of the Fourth World is widely recognized as essential to comprehending global resource wars. One of the reasons mainstream media is consistently incoherent is that this point of view is excluded. Real News has broken new ground by including the indigenous perspective.

The Real News Network coverage of the situation in Bolivia by reporter Pepe Escobar has been exemplary, offering analysis seen nowhere else on American TV.

As a writer focused on democracy, human rights and the world indigenous movement, I regularly seek out credible news sources outside corporate media. Real News is one source I've come to rely on.
