Smoldering Ruin

It took a long time for philanthropic foundations to comprehend the role research and education plays in social movements. Now that barrier has been surmounted, it might be easier to take the next step by explaining the role unincorporated investigative research networks play in delivering vital intelligence resources to community organizers across the country.

Someday they might even come around to realizing corporate organizational structures are often more of a hindrance to social change than a benefit. For now we just have to hope they will get financial resources into network hands through existing means before our republic is a smoldering ruin.

Stark Choice

Unlike choosing between such things as two stream rehabilitation projects or between two low-income medical clinics to dispense philanthropic funds to, where either way it does some good, the choice by philanthropic institutions to fund artificial activistism versus the choice to fund authentic community organizers is a choice between financing the downfall of our republic versus funding its renewal. It's a stark choice that dispensers of surplus wealth prefer not to acknowledge, but real nonetheless.

Lend a Hand

Some of our supporters recently observed that this is a big project, and that they didn't feel they had adequate resources to help us. As an all volunteer network, we'd like to dispel that notion. In fact, as educators, researchers, and mentors to activists, scholars, and writers throughout the United States, we need all the help we can get. One way to help is by buying our books. Another is by donating through PayPal using the handy donation button on our home page.

If you or your group would like to contribute to maintaining our online services in popular pro-democracy education and advice, consider passing the hat, having a bake sale, or doing a group garage sale on our behalf. Your donations aren't tax-deductible, but then, we don't charge tuition either.

PayPal donations should be addressed to tbarj@yahoo.com We guarantee it will make a difference.

Inevitable Casualties

One of the aspects of our work in social prophylaxis is disseminating a sober alternative to hysterical interpretations of world events. While it can be at times disheartening to see liberals misled into supporting fascist publications like LaRouche's magazine, Executive Intelligence Review, we know we can't save every misguided progressive soul from the onslaught of psychological warfare disguised as secret knowledge.

As scholar activists, our books, reports and online communications are admittedly less titillating than rabid right wing accounts of secret orders controlling weather patterns and world government, but then, we're not in the business of populist propaganda for criminal purposes; we're here to inform. As researchers and educators of the sober left, we do what we can to isolate right wing entrepreneurs and inoculate their target audiences against the toxic ideas they propagate, in hope that we might be able to contain their spreading further into mainstream thought, but we're also experienced enough to know that some will be seduced by the dark side.

The inevitable casualties of psychological warfare.

Solidarity

Those who recognize their local conflicts as battles in the global war between the destroyers and the creators will come to value self-reliance and education in the principles of psychological warfare as indispensable weapons of survival. Simply enduring our social disintegration will be a communal achievement.
